So here you are, you have practiced and practiced and have plenty of images for a beautiful portfolio. You have picked out your business name and registered it as well as purchased the domain name already and now you are looking to build your site. Oh my! There are hundreds of options, who do you choose

As I have gone through and tested multiple places, i hear from people at all stages about different places to look for a site host, let me give you a list of the most popular and favorited that i have heard.

My personal favorite, and whom i use for both of my websites, is squarespace. Hands down awesome. Customer support help has always been awesome if i ever had a question and the forums which i popped into once or twice have been super helpful too. I love that i can switch between layouts and change each layout to how I want it so that it doesn't look like anyone else's. I love that i can preview and make changes to layouts and designs behind the scenes before i even put them into action so that there is no delay or confusion.

Now that my favorite and biased opinion is out of the way, here are the rest. :)

Zenfolio
This is who i used first, i liked them, they were simple, but i needed more options as i grew.

Smugmug
I also considered these guys at one point, but found things a bit confusing on the customization side and went with the above. Things have changed since then and it is more easily navigated.

Wordpress
The best for SEO, but can be super customized for each user. Must be careful when buying themes that the person who created them, stays on top of it.
